Christmas 2012, Germany

This year was Claudia's Christmas. We spent the holiday with Olaf's family in Osnabrueck, Germany.

It's always kind of magical for me to be in Olaf's hometown around the holidays. He has his favorite foods and places from childhood, and lots of stories to color every walk, errand or meal.

Deliriously tired, enjoying a feuerzangenbowle (rum and sugar spiked mulled wine) with Olaf, on the Christmas market

Wolfgang and Claudia took us to an Irish music concert, performed by a local Irish family

Gerrit and Birgit brought Olaf some special clothing from Thailand

But I got the best gifts- hand knitted hat and scarf from Claudia :)
